Since Morpheus is Wiseman's ultimate weapon, he is kept locked away inside a dimensional rift where he meditates or "sleeps", sometimes read books or create Ideyas to pass his time, though the Ideyas he makes aren't exactly stable since they are not made of pure dreamer imagination or from their emotion. On the account of Morpheus' escape attempts, Wiseman placed Constriction Ideyas (Black, dark energy emitting, Ideyas that keep Rebel Nightmarens under control). Because of his natural environment and the fact he is feared by other Nightmarens, even by his colleagues, he has forgotten the meaning of life.
